Red Light Therapy Sessions of 10-15 minutes
Full Length Light Panels
Red Light Therapy (RLT) is a non-invasive treatment that uses low-level wavelengths of red light to stimulate cellular activity. Unlike UV light it does not damage the skin but instead it penetrates the skin and reaches deeper tissues. When this light is absorbed by cells, particularly the mitochondria (the cell’s energy producers), it boosts cellular ATP (adenosine triphosphate) the molecule that stores and supplies energy for cellular processes. By boosting ATP production, red and NIR light may improve the cells’ ability to repair, regenerate, replicate and function more effectively. This can support natural healing and recovery across various tissues, including skin, muscles, bones, and connective tissue.
When delivered at optimal wavelengths and energy levels, red and near-infrared light can help protect your cells from damage caused by excess nitric oxide, a molecule that can interfere with mitochondrial function, particularly during times of stress or illness. Under these conditions, nitric oxide may compete with oxygen at the mitochondria, potentially reducing the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the energy currency of the cell. Red light therapy helps mitigate this effect by minimizing nitric oxide’s impact, allowing your cells to continue using oxygen efficiently. This supports sustained energy production, even under less than optimal conditions.
Red Light Therapy Benefits:
- Treats acne and other inflammatory skin conditions.
- Stimulates collagen and elastin production, improving skin texture, reducing wrinkles, and aiding in wound healing.
- Enhances athletic performance.
- May improve relaxation and sleep quality.
- Improves mood and energy levels.
- Reduces inflammation and pain in muscles and joints from chronic conditions, such as arthritis and fibromyalgia by improving circulation and cellular repair.
- Supports muscle recovery and decreases fatigue after exercise.
- Commonly used in aesthetics for anti-aging, skin rejuvenation, scar reduction, and in wellness/fitness for recovery and pain relief.
2-3 Sessions per week are recommended for optimal results.
